Choosing A Massage School
So you have decided to become a massage
therapist. Now how do you choose the right school for you? We will give
you some tips to help you pick the right school for you.
What Does The School Focus On?
Massage schools will vary on what they focus
on. Some will focus on the anatomy, some will focus on pain management,
some will focus on relaxation, etc, etc. Ask the schools admissions office
what they focus on. Choose the area that makes most sense to you and the
one that you are most interested in.
Check The Massage School Out.
Visit the school that you are considering
attending. Most schools will offer a career day or will let you sit in on
a class. You wouldn't buy a car without taking it for a test drive. Why
commit to a school without first checking it out.
What Do The Students Say?
Try to find a current student and ask what
they think about the school. Chances are they will be willing to talk
about the school if they are happy and if they are unhappy, they will be
very eager to talk about the school.
Questions To Ask Your School.
Do they offer career placement?
Do they offer a short introductory course?
What is the student to teacher ratio?
How much does the school cost?
What locations do they have?
Do they offer financing or financial assistance of any kind?
Are they recognized or accredited by any organizations?
Do they offer full or part time classes?
As you can see there are many questions to
ask. Just do your homework and you will be able to find the right school
for you.
