Massage Oil
Your therapist will use oils on your skin to cut friction and allow their
hands to glide on your body easily. There are many different types of oils
including almond oil, grape seed oil, avocado oil, etc, etc. The list goes
on and on. Your therapist might also incorporate aromatherapy into their
session which would include scented oils to help relax you.
Massage Lotion
Lotions can be used when a therapist wants to provide lubrication but does
not want their hands to slip.
Massage Cream
Creams give your therapist more glide than a lotion. They are a balance
between lotions and oils.
Massage Stones
Massage stones are heated (usually in water) and then applied to the body.
They can be left on the body or can be used along with oil in massage. The
heat gently relaxes muscles.
